Hello what a great site! I am looking for info on 2 children that were placed in the Fairview Home in November 1888. I’m including the article that was found in the “Cohoes Daily News” November 1888.

      A Sad Case

The two children of George Dickey, aged respectively two and eight years, were taken to the Fairview Home for destitute children at West Troy yesterday. The children were removed by Dr. Cobb under an order received from Recorder McElwain through the advice of Superintendent of the Poor Hogan.

I believe the mother’s name was Rosalie Bellerose Dickey They lived in Cohoes and had several other children.

Thank you for any & all help & information.

      Sincerely,

      Marion
